How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

As part of the Global Talent Management COE, the Manager, Talent Management will work in close partnership with HR Business Partners, Sr Talent Managers, and Business Leaders to drive the Delta enterprise talent priorities into the divisions in alignment with our corporate strategy. This role will serve as an internal advisor and consultant on talent planning and development within the divisions, partnering and leading on key talent initiatives to drive talent education, employee development, succession planning, and talent flow. This position requires influencing skills, confidence and competency, resulting in not only strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels but also driving change with how all employees consider and think strategically around the subject of Talent & Development.

This position is located in Atlanta, GA.

  • Partner with Delta's business units, Sr. Talent Managers and HR Field organization to ensure that all divisional talent activities and processes support enterprise talent management, which in turn will support the overall enterprise strategy
  • Provide consulting support and assistance to HR business partners and division leaders in the areas of talent development, succession planning and performance solutions to help leaders improve individual and group performance. Leverage talent analytics wherever possible to provide data driven support and assist with the identification of opportunities to better engage and develop employees
  • Develop and implement content to support integrated talent & development for the enterprise, including tools, communications, job aids for team members, people managers, and HR to educate and drive adoption and sustainability of talent management strategies and programs
  • Provide research, analysis, consultation and recommendations for the cyclical talent planning process
  • In partnership with Leadership Development team, assist with the design of development experiences to support development plans and core enterprise and division management solutions
  • Partner with Sr Analysts and HR Analytics team to create and execute on Talent Data Analytics & Reporting to measure impact of solutions against clear metrics
  • Leverage technology as a key enabler in becoming "best practice" as an organization

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years in Business Management and/or Human Resources and Talent Management.
  • Should have experience implementing talent management initiatives; driving adoption of talent management tools and strategies; and designing and implementing business driven talent planning programs
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal/ influencing skills. Proven ability dealing with all levels of management, developing relationships within the organization, and leveraging the formal and informal organizational structure to assist in goal achievement.
  • Experience managing and navigating in a matrix organization and in building collaborative relationships with all levels of leaders and employees in both an operational and corporate environments
  • Broad business acumen and systems thinking, continuous learning approach to the business and strong curiosity to understand contexts.
  • Ability to lead and apply organizational and change practices; ability to influence change at all levels within an organization.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to influence others and present effectively to diverse audiences.
