The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a key role to help drive business growth and will be responsible for overseeing the annual budget, monthly forecasts, financial reporting, variance analyses enterprise wide, working closely with the various business segment leads. The Senior Director of FP&A will also be responsible for drafting analytical reports and financial models to provide to senior management and the CFO as requested.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize forecasting and budgeting processes working closely with key business leaders and Finance team members to prepare financial models, document supporting assumptions, perform analysis & review of preliminary submissions, prepare management presentations, and assemble budget packages
  • Develop and analyze financial projections to ensure forecasts reflect expectations working closely with key stakeholders
  • Provide leadership team with counsel and insight into financial results, forecasts and risks
  • Lead financial analysis projects and assist with special projects to support the various needs of the business
  • Help drive continuous process improvement of key controls and processes
  • Lead team of financial analysts supporting financial planning & analysis including home office budgeting
  • Assist the CFO and SVP Finance in preparation of materials for Board meetings and quarterly earnings calls
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all corporate information
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements and Qualifications: -


  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in financial analysis/financial management or related field required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading a team
  • BS degree required preferably in the field of Finance, accounting, or a related degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge in and financial systems
  • Strong skills in financial modelling and analysis, with business development/mergers & acquisition experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate, influence and provided value-added analyses
  • Ability to present complex issues in a simple, logical, and succinct manner
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills including ability to communicate analyses and recommendations to senior management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
