Delta's RM professionals are responsible for maximizing the revenue generated on each flight by aligning passenger demand with willingness to pay to offer the optimal mix of fare products.   • Responsible for flight level revenue optimization by properly valuing our passengers and forecasting future demand levels
  • Monitor and update the flight level demand forecasts through the analysis of historical and future booking trends, the pricing environment, industry capacity trends, the competitive landscape, and other factors
  • Establish and maintain the flight level overbooking forecasts through the analysis of no-show behavior trends
  • Evaluate performance and post-departure trends to identify and leverage future opportunities while maximizing the revenue potential for each market
  • Performing frequent ad-hoc analyses related to the assigned markets and assist with capacity decision making for future months
  • Communicate market performance results to RM leaders and key stakeholders within the Commercial team
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Network Planning, Alliances, Sales, Marketing and other teams to ensure alignment on market level strategies

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Ability to meet deadlines, service level commitments, and handle multiple tasks
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required
  • Detail-oriented, analytical ability and strong oral/written communication skills are also required
  • Must be able to work well with others in a time-sensitive team environment
  • Candidate must have the ability to independently structure/resolve problems by incorporating/balancing relevant factors and grasping mathematical concepts related to inventory market management
  • Flexibility responding to unexpected situations and desire to learn is critical for success
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Familiarity with airline economic and industry concepts is a plus
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Preferred major in the area of Business, Finance, Economics, and Marketing, Statistics and/or equivalent work experience
