Cloud Engineer

American Express is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. We're looking for a candidate who is passionate about leveraging the latest cloud technologies to drive innovation and solve complex problems. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of cloud architecture and experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure. We also expect you to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. Configure and maintain cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Perform troubleshooting and provide technical support for cloud computing platforms.
Monitor and optimize performance of cloud-based applications and services.
Analyze the current cloud environment and develop strategies to optimize performance.
Research new cloud technologies to increase capabilities and cost efficiency.
Write and maintain software scripts to automate cloud operations and administration.
Implement security measures and best practices to protect cloud infrastructure.
Train and mentor junior members of the IT team on cloud computing technologies.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based services.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and trends.
